New Orders Policy

All new orders include, at no extra charge, a pdf proof for your approval. 


Typesetting and Proofs

Please review your proof carefully for spelling, omissions, dates, names, or other errors.
If the proof is approved, please reply that your plaque proof is error-free and approved for production
If the proof contains errors, please reply indicating what changes are necessary. We will send you a new proof for you to approve.
Please let us know if proof is approved as soon as possible to avoid production delays.

Please be sure to check all spelling and information carefully for errors, omissions, and accuracy. Once you approve the proof, we cannot be responsible for any errors or mistakes. Unless otherwise noted in writing by CustomAwards.com, standard typesetting, and one set of minor alterations (and corresponding pdf proofs) are included in the quoted price. After one set of standard typesetting and changes have been completed, additional charges for further typesetting and alterations may apply. If design services are determined by us to be beyond standard in nature, and are not due to our error, additional charges may apply. Once you approve the proof, you are approving the wording as is and are authorizing us to produce your plaque as per the proof you approved. Any products that have to be re-ordered due to customer error are the responsibility of the customer. If an error occurs due to a mistake we made, we will remediate the error at our cost. If we produce any plate(s) with errors, we will send you the corrected replacement plate(s). Shipping methods for replacement items are at the discretion of CustomAwards.com. CustomAwards.com is only responsible for the replacement cost of our product.


Custom Orders

All custom orders are subject to partial prepayment at the time the order is placed. Please contact us for payment due based on the nature of your job. Rush orders are generally available, depending on the details of a particular project. Please contact us with your specific requirements.


Artwork Policy

All artwork, such as logos, must vector art (i.e. EPS, SVG, or AI). All elements within these files (such as placed graphics or logos) must also be line art with all fonts outlined. Vector format files can be created using programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, or Inkscape. Please note: JPG, PDF, BMP, GIF, TXT, PNG, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, & Powerpoint files, as well as logos copied directly from a website cannot be properly engraved and cannot be used. These formats are usually not compatible with the engraving process, and quality issues such as image distortion can occur.

If you don’t have the proper logo format, we can still use your logo or artwork. Please send largest and best version of the logo file that you do have —our art department can usually convert the file for a nominal one-time conversion fee. Most simple logo conversions cost $35, however logos that are more complicated may cost slightly more. We will advise you if your logo requires a higher conversion cost before proceeding. — This is a one-time charge and is only required if your artwork is not in the required format. If you order more than one item, but with the same logo, you will only be charged one logo conversion fee. Our customer service department will contact you first before we perform any artwork conversion to your logo.


Cancellation Policy

As our products are custom or personalized in nature, once we begin your job, we may not be able to cancel your order without charge.  Charges will be based at the point we are on the production process. If you must cancel an order you just placed, please contact us by email at CustomerService@CustomAwards.com as soon as possible. This is the only way we can try to cancel or stop the production process of your job. If parts or other materials were ordered prior to production and the order is cancelled, a re-stocking fee will apply. If your job is in the production process, you will be responsible for any setups or work performed up to the point of cancellation. We will do our best to cancel your job with as little cost to you as possible, but as we strive to produce your job quickly, your job may be completed prior to your request (in which case, it will not be subject to cancellation.) All custom orders will be charged for all setups, materials used and all work performed, at an amount determined by Custom Awards, Inc., up to the point of your request for cancellation. No completed custom jobs will be subject to cancellation.



Most of our shipments will be shipped via Fedex or UPS. The size, weight, cost, and destination determine which service we use. In some instances, we may elect to ship by other methods more appropriate to the size or weight of your product. We will inform you of any special shipping requirements with you prior to shipment. Additional shipping and handling costs may apply to international orders and orders shipped outside the 48 contiguous states. Please contact us to discuss shipping options. We may also contact you after you place an order on our site if additional shipping costs apply to your order.
